WHAT?  The 2014 Invest Caribbean Agribusiness Forum is the only forum in the USA focused solely on promoting the agenda to support a thriving agriculture eco-system in the Caribbean region.
The conference theme of “Food, Fuel(bio), F(ph)arma, Fish” will examine potential ways to become an importer, exporter, or investor in the Caribbean’s diverse agribusiness market.
This year a special feature on  ‘food security’ will be added.  

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?   for entrepreneurs, policymakers, academics, food activists and other NGOs interested in the agribusiness sector in the Caribbean — from food, to farma– herbal and medicinal to fisheries to biofuel and biotechnology industries.  

WHY?  With an food import bill of over US$4B,  the potential for agribusiness investment and development of the value chain is wide open in the Caribbean. You will meet others of like mind interested in taking advantage of what the region has to offer, and you will hear from some GREAT speakers.
 
HOW?  The University of the District of Colombia will host a half-day Roundtable on Partnerships to engage education and research institutions, as well as policy makers, diplomats and food justice activists in a dialogue on  how to increase food security and agribusiness success in the Caribbean on Thursday.  On Friday, participants will learn about emerging trade and investment opportunities in the agribusiness sector throughout the Caribbean and challenges to sustainable and profitable partnerships. The forum is organized in a roundtable format to encourage time for dialogue and free exchange.
